Karen Kovacs serves as President, Advertising and Partnerships, NBCUniversal. In this role, she oversees Enterprise, Marketing and Communication teams, uniting NBCUniversal’s go-to-market strategy and storytelling with a deeper connection to global client solutions and revenue generation. Over the last six years, Kovacs has worked across Comcast NBCUniversal to develop enterprise-wide partnerships, leading a team that matched the CMOs of the world’s top brands with the opportunities that drove deeper consumer engagement and measurable results for their businesses. Karen has served as an advocate for advertisers and a liaison among clients and NBCU content, IP, and audiences for always-on programming as well as tentpole moments from the Olympic & Paralympic Games, to BravoCon, to SNL50. Prior to joining NBCUniversal, Kovacs served as President, Brand Sales and Development, Time Inc., working with editorial and marketing teams to develop and implement strategic plans across 15 Time Inc. brands. During her 25+ year tenure at Time Inc., Kovacs assumed a variety of leadership roles within the company. As Publisher, People Magazine, she helped expand the business into digital and social media, custom content and new platforms. Outside of these positions, Kovacs is a former She Runs It Board Member and current co-chair of the Executive Achievement Committee. She founded women’s initiatives at Time Inc. and was honored as one of Folio’s Top Women in Media, a She Runs It Working Mother of the Year in 2022, Reuters’ Trailblazing Women in Marketing, Service and Experience and Cablefax Most Powerful Women in 2024. In 2025, she was named a Cablefax 100 and a Campaign 40 Over 40 honoree. Kovacs graduated from Cornell University and lives in Larchmont with her husband. They are the proud parents of two sons.
