Chris Doe is a commercially driven Marketing & Innovation Director with a 16-year track record of delivering transformational growth across some of the UK’s most iconic FMCG food brands. He combines deep FMCG expertise with proven leadership in Brand Strategy, Innovation and Comms, and is recognised for driving long-term business growth.
As UK Marketing & Innovation Director at Pilgrim’s Europe, Chris leads a £350m portfolio, which includes Richmond, Fridge Raiders and Mattessons. Since 2019, he has overseen a +65% increase in Revenue, recruitment of 1.5m new consumers, and a step-change in Brand Equity metrics. This has been achieved by modernising the brands’ positioning, building a more expansive Innovation Pipeline, and activating in a bolder, more consistent way, all of which has helped position Marketing as a core driver of business performance.
Beyond brand growth, Chris has also led the Marketing function through a complex business integration and driven a performance-led approach by embedding econometrics and brand equity tracking, as well as a strategic review of the agency roster to deliver stronger creative impact and measurable ROI.
Prior to Pilgrim’s Europe, Chris held Marketing roles at General Mills, Nomad Foods and Burton’s Biscuit Company, where he revitalised household brands including Old El Paso and Birds Eye through portfolio renovation, premiumisation strategies and equity-building campaigns.
Chris holds an MBA with Distinction from Warwick Business School and is passionate about building high-performing teams and brands that thrive in fast-paced, competitive markets. He lives in Surrey with his family.
