Managing director of the Nationaal Media Onderzoek (NMO) since September 2022. NMO combines all the audience measurement initiatives – most previously handled by JIC’s – with involvement of all media Dutch media operators and broadcasters as well as the association of advertisers (BVA) and the representative organisation of media agencies Platform Media Adviesbureau (PMA). {In combining audience viewing, listening, reading and browsing through a single, integrated system NMO will deliver deeper insights to understand Dutch audiences and enable richer trading currencies for each media. The new approach will enable advertisers and agencies to optimise the performance of media channels – both in isolation and when combined in a cross-media campaign.] Before NOM Ton has an extensive experience in the local and global agency world and ended in 2021 26 years with WPP, mostly with Mindshare in local, regional and global roles. In the last few years he was the Global Chief People Officer of Mindshare next to the chairman/founder role at Mindshare in the Netherlands. [Involved in many industry bodies in the Netherlands from chairman of media community MWG to treasurer of agency association VEA. He initiated the AMMA that is now the leading media award for some time. He was personally awarded with a special AMMA lifetime achievement award in 2021} Ton is living near the coast between the flowerfields with this wife, 4 grown up kids and a border collie.
