Description

• Competition for free-to-see viewing time is fierce in Europe, thanks to local FTA broadcasting, so what are the keys to success for FAST channels and their curator/aggregator partners? • Any scope for more FAST personalisation; How do we personalise a linear programme guide experience – can we use insights from across the platform/UX to help; Is reordering the channel list enough? • Is anyone interested in guiding FAST viewers beyond the linear channel into interactive experiences or AVOD catalogues, in the way broadcasters do on broadcast linear – and how could this work in practice? • What does FAST distribution give broadcasters that they cannot get from broadcast, Red Button and BVOD, and do they have a role as FAST channel aggregators (within their BVODs) as well as channel creators? • How much can FAST help to expand the sports content marketplace, whether by offering a window to lower-tier sports, under-represented sports, more local sport, expanded tournaments, shoulder content, etc? • Do sports rights holders view FAST as a viable distribution alternative to free-to-air broadcast when complementing Pay TV, and how do we ensure FAST channels are sufficiently monetised to host top tier live sports? • What are the priorities when improving the FAST advertising viewing experience; Where are the opportunities to innovate or potentially differentiate from other digital video advertising?
