Unai Iparragirre is Head of Programming at Mediaset España, where he oversees content strategy and programming across the group’s portfolio of free-to-air and thematic channels. Reporting to the Director General, he leads the editorial and scheduling vision of Spain’s leading commercial broadcaster, driving audience growth and positioning in an increasingly connected TV landscape. Prior to joining Mediaset in December 2025, he was Head of Channels & Streaming at EITB, the Basque public broadcaster, where he managed linear channels and digital platforms, accelerating the integration of broadcast and streaming strategies. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Discovery Networks EMEA, where he was responsible for channel strategy, programming, and content performance across multiple markets. During this time, he led cross-functional teams and contributed to the evolution of Discovery’s portfolio in a rapidly shifting pay-TV and digital environment. He brings extensive experience in brand positioning, content strategy and multi-platform distribution, with a strong focus on how broadcasters can compete and grow in the connected TV ecosystem.
